Job Overview
At Smile Designs of Southern Ohio, we are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Dentist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in general dentistry and be passionate about providing exceptional patient care. This role requires proficiency in various dental procedures, effective communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of dental practice.

Our office is located 1 hour from Cincinnati. The practice is located in a small town, but if you want to live closer to the city, the commute is very easy. It really is the best of both worlds. We are in the process of building a new facility that will have all the latest technology(digital x-rays, CBCT, milling units, intraoral scanners, intraoral cameras). We are expecting to be in the new facility by the end of the year. The practice has high insurance reimbursements, which allows for higher pay for our associate.

Duties

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Conduct routine examinations and provide preventive care
  • Execute various dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, and prosthodontics.
  • Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Stay current with advancements in dental technology and techniques, including medical imaging and infection control practices.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care measures.
  • Manage pediatric dentistry cases with a focus on creating a comfortable environment for young patients.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state dental license to practice dentistry.
  • Experience with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft, or Open Dental is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy, and aseptic technique.
  • Familiarity with endodontics, oral surgery, pediatric dentistry, and dental fabrication techniques is advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient care and continuous professional development.
  • Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is highly desirable, but not required. New grads may apply.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $195,000.00 - $420,000.00 per year
