Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Dentist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in general dentistry and be passionate about providing exceptional patient care. This role requires proficiency in various dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment. The Associate Dentist will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive dental services while ensuring compliance with all health regulations and standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality dental care to patients, including examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning.
- Perform a variety of dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and oral surgery.
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize dental software systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for patient management and record keeping.
- Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
- Educate patients on oral health care practices and preventive measures.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to deliver four-handed dentistry effectively.
- Stay current with advancements in dentistry through continuous education and training.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state dental license to practice dentistry.
- Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred but not required; familiarity with pediatric patients is a plus.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical imaging techniques.
- Proficiency in performing endodontics, dental extractions, root canal therapy, and other general dentistry procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
- Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is highly desirable.
