Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Dentist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care and will be proficient in various dental procedures. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of dental terminology, patient assessment, and treatment planning, as well as experience in both general and specialized dentistry.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental examinations and assessments for patients of all ages.
- Execute a variety of dental procedures including but not limited to general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and dental extractions.
- Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Ensure infection control protocols are followed diligently to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and support staff to provide optimal patient care.
- Educate patients on oral health practices and treatment options.
- Stay current with advancements in dental technology and techniques, including medical imaging and aseptic techniques.
Requirements
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state dental license with no disciplinary actions.
- Proficiency in dental software such as Open Dental is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical documentation practices.
- Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus; ability to work effectively with children is essential.
- Familiarity with root canal therapy (Bicuspids and Molar preferred), dental fabrication, and other specialized procedures is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and assessment.
