Associate Dentist

Smile Arts Dental, Oklahoma City

Schedule: M-Th 8am to 5pm

$800 per day daily rate for 90 days OR 30% production could result in a range of $300k - $350k first year

Medical, In House Dental, Vision, 401k (matching), Vacation, Holiday pay.

  • Patient Examination and Diagnosis:
  • Conduct thorough oral examinations using tools like X-rays, dental probes, and mirrors to diagnose dental conditions like cavities, gum disease, or oral cancer.
  • Treatment Planning:
  • Develop comprehensive treatment plans based on patient needs, considering factors like oral health history, current condition, and patient's lifestyle preferences.
  • Dental Procedures:
  • Perform various dental treatments which include:
  • Cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth.
  • Filling cavities with materials like amalgam, composite, or gold.
  • Root canal therapy to treat infected teeth.
  • Extractions of teeth when necessary.
  • Fitting and placement of dental prosthetics like crowns, bridges, dentures, or implants.
  • Orthodontic treatments such as braces or clear aligners for teeth alignment.
  • Implant placement and restoration
  • Preventive Care:
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, diet, and lifestyle choices that affect dental health.
  • Administer fluoride treatments or sealants to prevent decay.
  • Cosmetic Dentistry:
  • Offer cosmetic procedures such as teeth whitening, veneers, or contouring to improve the appearance of teeth.
  • Emergency Care:
  • Handle dental emergencies like abscesses, broken teeth, or severe pain.
  • Record Keeping:
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and medical histories.
  • Patient Consultation and Counseling:
  • Discuss treatment options with patients, explaining procedures, potential outcomes, and costs.
  • Counsel patients on the impact of their habits (like smoking or poor nutrition) on oral health.
  • Use of Technology:
  • Stay updated with and utilize modern dental technologies for diagnosis, treatment, and patient comfort (e.g., digital X-rays, intraoral cameras, CAD/CAM for on-site crown fabrication).
  • Management of Dental Practice (for those in private practice):
  • Oversee staff, manage inventory, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and handle administrative tasks.
  • Continuing Education:
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to keep up with the latest dental practices, technologies, and materials.
  • Ethical Practice:
  • Adhere to medical ethics, particularly in terms of patient confidentiality, informed consent, and professional conduct.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work with dental hygienists, dental assistants, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrity.
