Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Associate Dentist to join our dynamic dental team at a small family practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in general dentistry and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. As an Associate Dentist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive dental services, including restorative, preventive, and cosmetic procedures, while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. Offering one or two days a week on a Monday and/or Tuesday from 7-4 pm. Start date is flexible starting in January 2026. Prefer someone with at least 3 years experience practicing dentistry. We are a private office that does not take HMO and sees one patient at a time.
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of dental procedures including examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to diagnose dental conditions accurately and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate diagnoses and treatment options clearly to patients.
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office protocols.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to promote patient safety.
- Operate dental imaging equipment to obtain high-quality radiographs necessary for diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Collaborate with team members using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
- Manage medical records meticulously, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with legal standards.
- Provide education to patients on oral health practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.
- Stay current with advancements in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and other specialties relevant to patient care.
- Uphold all safety standards related to HIPAA compliance, infection control, and medical documentation procedures.
Requirements
- Valid dental license to practice as an Associate Dentist in the respective jurisdiction.
- Proven experience in general dentistry with proficiency in dental terminology and clinical procedures.
- Familiarity with dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, medical imaging techniques, and infection control practices.
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to pediatric patients when applicable.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to medical records confidentiality and data
