Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Dentist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive dental care, ensuring optimal patient outcomes while maintaining high standards of professionalism and patient comfort. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment utilizing advanced dental technology and fostering continued professional growth. The Associate Dentist will be responsible for delivering quality general dentistry services, including pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and other specialized procedures as needed. Experience with dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, and Dentrix is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate excellent patient care skills, thorough knowledge of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive dental examinations and assessments using medical and dental terminology to diagnose oral health issues.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients across various age groups, including pediatrics.
  • Conduct a wide range of procedures such as dental restorations, root canal therapy, extractions (including dental extractions), prosthodontics, and oral surgery.
  • Utilize advanced imaging techniques and ensure proper interpretation of medical imaging for accurate diagnosis.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety during all procedures.
  • Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and staff to deliver seamless patient care utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques.
  • Educate patients on oral health maintenance, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health.
  • Stay current with the latest developments in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry to enhance clinical skills and knowledge base.

Experience

  • Proven experience working in a dental office or clinic setting with familiarity in dental office software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix preferred.
  • Prior experience in pediatric dentistry, endodontics (including root canal therapy), prosthodontics, or oral surgery is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry and anatomy knowledge relevant to oral health assessment.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform dental fabrication procedures and utilize medical imaging equipment effectively.
  • Experience adhering to infection control standards and maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations is essential.
  • Previous exposure to general dentistry procedures with a focus on patient care excellence is required for this role. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $176,827.50 - $212,953.55 per year

Expected hours: 8 – 16 per week
