Associate Dentist

A private, state-of-the-art periodontal and implant practice located in the Cupertino / Milpitas area of Silicon Valley is seeking a Part-Time Associate Dentist (General Dentist) to support our Hygiene and Periodontal Maintenance Department.

This role is ideal for a dentist who is skilled, compassionate, and patient-focused, and who enjoys providing gentle, preventive-oriented care in a specialty environment. The position primarily involves periodontal and implant maintenance recall visits during or following periodontal and implant treatments.

Schedule

• 1–2 days per week
• Flexible scheduling
• Part-time position

Key Responsibilities

• Perform periodontal maintenance and implant maintenance recall examinations
• Provide general dentistry support within a periodontal specialty practice
• Evaluate periodontal stability, peri-implant tissues, probing depths, and radiographs
• Conduct post-operative and follow-up assessments after periodontal or implant procedures
• Diagnose and clearly communicate findings and treatment recommendations to patients
• Deliver gentle, compassionate, patient-centered dental care
• Maintain accurate electronic dental records

Required Qualifications

• DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
• Active California Dental License (required, in good standing)
• Skilled and clinically competent general dentist with strong diagnostic judgment
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach with a gentle clinical touch
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain diagnoses and treatment plans clearly and confidently
• Experience or strong interest in:
• Periodontal maintenance
• Implant maintenance and peri-implant care
• Dental hygiene and recall examinations
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based periodontal specialty practice
• Professional, dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to high standards of patient care

(Prior experience in a periodontal or specialty dental practice is preferred but not required.)

Compensation & Practice Details

• Hourly pay: $80–$100, negotiable based on experience and qualifications
