Job Summary- Associate dentist for Thursday, Friday and 2 Saturdays a month.

Most Associate Dentist jobs suck !! Ours does not. Private owned Fee-For-Service General Dental practice that has been established for 60 years.

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Associate Dentist to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will deliver comprehensive dental care to patients across all age groups, ensuring optimal oral health and patient satisfaction. Your expertise will help foster a welcoming environment where patients feel confident in their care, and your proactive approach will contribute to the growth and success of our practice. · Be ready to check hygiene for 2 hygienists per day. We regularly see 20+ new patients per month.

· We are looking for a long-term team associate who will grow with our great patient base.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general dentistry procedures including examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns with precision and care.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Utilize dental terminology accurately to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
  • Under mentorship, learn how to execute oral surgery procedures such as dental extractions, bone grafting, implants and other surgical interventions.
  • Apply advanced skills in pediatric dentistry when treating young patients, ensuring comfort and safety during procedures.
  • Use dental imaging tools and medical documentation systems like Dentrix to record patient data accurately while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in infection control protocols and sterilization procedures to uphold the highest standards of safety.
  • Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry practices to optimize efficiency and patient care quality.
  • Educate patients on oral health maintenance, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions clearly and compassionately.
  • Maintain detailed medical records, ensuring accuracy in documentation of procedures performed and treatment outcomes.

Experience

  • Prior experience working in a dental clinic or dental office environment is required.
  • Proficiency with dental software systems such as Dentrix is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, infection control practices, and medical imaging techniques.
  • Experience performing a wide range of general dentistry procedures including dental extractions, prosthodontics, endodontics, and dental fabrication is desirable.
  • Background in pediatric dentistry or treating pediatric patients is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical records management to ensure confidentiality and compliance.
