Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Dentist to join our dynamic dental team for alternate Saturdays and Fridays. Possible full time position in the future . The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in general dentistry, with a focus on delivering comprehensive patient care in a professional and compassionate manner. As an Associate Dentist, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of dental procedures, ensuring optimal oral health outcomes, and maintaining high standards of clinical excellence. Duties

  • Provide comprehensive dental care including examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning for patients across all age groups.
  • Perform dental procedures such as restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and oral surgery with precision and adherence to best practices.
  • Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate treatment options and procedures clearly to patients.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic policies.
  • Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety and prevent cross-contamination.
  • Operate dental imaging equipment to obtain high-quality radiographs necessary for diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to deliver four-handed dentistry, optimizing efficiency and patient comfort during procedures.
  • Stay current with advancements in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, and prosthodontics to enhance clinical skills.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, including HIPAA privacy rules and OSHA guidelines related to infection control.
  • Educate patients on oral health maintenance, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health.

Qualifications

  • Valid state license to practice dentistry with eligibility for professional licensure in the applicable jurisdiction.
  • Proven experience in general dentistry with familiarity in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and dental fabrication.
  • Proficiency in using dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and record management.
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy, and medical imaging techniques.
  • Experience working in a busy dental clinic or dental office environment with excellent patient care skills.
  • Ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, and other complex procedures confidently.
  • Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic technique essential for maintaining a safe clinical environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with team members.
