Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Dentist to join our reputable private dental practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive dental care to patients, ensuring high standards of treatment and patient satisfaction. The position is for one day per week initially, with a view to increase days in future.
Fridays 9am to 5pm.
Duties:
- Conduct thorough dental examinations and diagnose oral health issues using clinical assessment and medical imaging tools.
- Develop personalised treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, including restorative, cosmetic and preventive procedures.
- Perform a wide range of dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, root canals, crowns and cosmetic dentistry with precision and care.
- Maintain detailed patient records in compliance with legal and professional standards.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment options and preventive care strategies.
- Collaborate with our principal dentists, dental hygienist, nurses and administrative staff to deliver seamless patient care.
- Keep abreast of the latest developments in dentistry through continuous professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- Fully qualified Dentist with valid registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
- Demonstrable knowledge of human anatomy relevant to dental practice.
- Experience with medical imaging techniques such as X-rays and digital scans is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to reassure and educate patients effectively.
- Organised with excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate record keeping and treatment planning.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a candidate who has:
- A valid GDC registration with no restrictions in place.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience working within private dentistry.
- CPD fully up to date and compliant with GDC Enhanced CPD requirements.
- A comprehensive portfolio of clinical work demonstrating the scope of your skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centred approach to care.
- Professional indemnity insurance in place.
- Active professional social media presence (e.g. Instagram) showcasing clinical work.
