Position Title:

Associate Designer – Benelux NESEE

Basic Function

The Associate Designer supports Haworth’s design initiatives for the Benelux NESEE regions by creating innovative, functional, and visually compelling workspace solutions. This role involves collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality design concepts, presentations, and project support that align with Haworth’s global standards and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the local team leader/manager on assigned projects; take ownership of design deliverables, product selections, and presentation materials.

  • Develop creative and practical design solutions for workspace projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and Haworth standards.

  • Prepare detailed design proposals, including layouts, renderings, and mood boards, using advanced design tools and software.

  • Coordinate with internal teams (visualization, customer service, engineering) to ensure timely and accurate project execution.

  • Maintain a strong understanding of Haworth’s product portfolio and incorporate competitive, innovative solutions into designs.

  • Utilize digital tools for 3D modeling, rendering, and virtual presentations to enhance client engagement.

  • Act as a liaison between design and project teams to ensure consistency, quality, and customer satisfaction.

  • Stay updated on design trends and workspace innovations to bring fresh ideas to projects.

Relationships

Internal Contacts:

  • Frequent collaboration with design and visualization teams for project execution.

  • Moderate interaction with customer service, finance, and engineering for project coordination.

External Contacts:

  • Occasional interaction with clients and dealers for design presentations and clarifications.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Strong portfolio showcasing creativity and technical proficiency.

  • Proficiency in design software: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), SketchUp, V-Ray, and PowerPoint.

  • Good command of MS Excel for basic budgeting and project cost analysis.

  • Basic understanding of workspace design principles.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
