Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Associate Designer to join our incredible team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design and a strong understanding of aesthetics, functionality, and client needs. As an Associate Designer, you will be responsible for creating and executing beautiful, functional environments that reflect the unique style and preferences of our clients. Under the leadership of our Creative Director, you will work closely with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure that each project is executed seamlessly from concept to completion.
Duties
- Collaborate with clients to determine their design preferences, requirements, and budget constraints.
- Develop innovative design concepts and use a variety of tools to conceptualize and detail ideas for client review
- Select appropriate materials, furnishings, color palettes, and lighting solutions that align with the overall design vision.
- Conduct jobsite visits to assess spaces and ensure designs are implemented accurately during the building process.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors in making design selections and decisions
- Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and best practices in interior design.
- Present design proposals to clients and make adjustments based on their feedback.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Canva for creating presentations and visual content.
- Strong understanding of color theory and its application in interior design.
- Experience in selecting custom furnishings, art, accessories, bedding, window treatments and wall coverings
- Familiarity with new luxury new construction processes and practices is beneficial.
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients and effectively communicate design ideas.
- Ability to hand sketch and depict design details clearly and effectively
- A degree in Interior Design or a related field is preferred but not mandatory; relevant experience will be considered.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- A positive, service oriented demeanor, and team-centered approach to projects
