SUMMARY:
We are looking for an Associate legwear designer to join our team who has a passion for Legwear, hosiery, and socks. This is a great opportunity for those looking to be a part of an energetic, creative, and collaborative group. Our designers have been shaping our department for the better season after season.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design ownership over selected licensed brands and assigned to you based on your aesthetic and creative strengths, responsible for CADing full seasonal collections.- CAD work for various private label accounts, typically fun prints with understanding of brand DNA.
- Strong eye for trend and valuable market research.
- Work closely with design director and senior designers with creative freedom throughout process
- Minimal communication with China, but important to know how they operate, problem solve when technical or timing setbacks arise
- Work closely with product development team so they properly develop your design the way you envision
- Primarily design in Illustrator with minimal retouching in Photoshop
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-3 years of industry experience
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Development mindset, wanting to grow and learn
- Ability to be agile while working in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in illustrator
- Impeccable work ethic
- Positive team player

NY Pay Transparency:
The pay range for this position is ($50,000 – $55,000).
