JOB SUMMARY:
The Associate Digital Product Designer is an entry-level UX/UI role in the Digital Products department, which produces leading edge designs delivering results-oriented digital products for our clients. The role is responsible for working collaboratively with teammates and colleagues to develop design solutions including conceptual wireframes, high-fidelity designs, prototypes, and annotations for development as part of a team that builds and refines accessible digital products, including websites, custom experiences, AI-based tools, email templates and other projects.
As an Associate Digital Product Designer, you have experience using tools like Figma to produce interactive design deliverables, have some understanding of best practices for user-centered design, an enthusiasm for collaborating with internal teams, and a desire to create impactful user experiences that are meaningful to audiences of travelers. This role reports to a Senior Digital Product Designer.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Creates and maintains high-quality design systems for internal and external projects using Figma.
Produces high-quality interactive designs incorporating best practices and leading-edge innovation to support clients and internal teams
Helps with creation of digital style guides and other client deliverables
Supports preparation of UX/UI design files for hand off to the development team.
Researches user experience (UX) and accessibility principles and applies appropriate design methodologies and rationale throughout all project phases to achieve the goals of the project in a measurable way.
Solicits feedback from internal teams to consistently improve the quality of work and ensure timely completion of tasks.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Design, Web Design, UX, or related field; or a comparable level of relevant professional experience and certifications without a college degree.
Minimum of 1 year of UX/UI design work experience, preferably with some experience working with cross-functional teams.
Design portfolio demonstrating foundational knowledge of digital design principles, thoughtful interactive design, and user-centered solutions (we love a great results story).
Comfortable working in Figma and proactively maintaining structured design systems for multiple clients.
Experience working through multi-step design workflows, from wireframing and stylistic concept to preparation and annotation of design files for development.
Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, SEO and information architecture relevant to digital design projects. Some familiarity with component-based design in Drupal and Wordpress platforms is helpful.
Understands best practices for setup and ongoing management of digital design files, including the use of components and linked files to enable efficiency and consistency in maintaining client-specific design systems.
Clear communicator when speaking, writing, or engaging with team members and clients via project management and video conferencing platforms.
Responds positively and constructively to client and peer feedback.
