Title: Associate Director Annual Giving and Donor Engagement
FLSA: Exempt
Hours: Full-time – 40 hours per week
Salary Range: $73,000 – $90,000
Position Summary
The Associate Director Annual Giving and Donor Engagement leads revenue-generating events and donor stewardship initiatives that form the foundation of our comprehensive fundraising program. This role is primarily focused on event management (60% of responsibilities) while maintaining a portfolio of annual donors and supporting strategic partnership development. The position reports to the Director of Major and Planned Gifts.

This is an exciting time for The Woodlands as the organization and key stakeholders ready for the launch of a capital campaign that will result in major capital improvements to The Woodlands’ campus, an increase in program capacity, and an elevated experience for program participants, staff, and volunteers.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Management & Revenue Generation (60%)
- Plan and execute annual fundraising events, managing all logistics, budgets, vendor relationships, and volunteer coordination
- Develop and implement sponsorship strategies to meet or exceed annual revenue goals
- Evaluate cost-benefit analysis of third-party partnership events
- Coordinate volunteer training and event evaluation processes
- Lead cultivation events designed to move prospects through the donor pipeline
- Manage event timelines, vendor contracts, and on-site event coordination
Donor Relations & Annual Fund Management (25%)
- Oversee donor acknowledgment processes and maintain high-quality donor database records
- Develop and execute donor communication calendar including appeals, newsletters, and digital outreach
- Analyze donor data to identify growth opportunities and enhance segmentation strategies
- Collaborate with Director of Major and Planned Gifts on donor pipeline management
Strategic Partnership Development (10%)
- Research and develop corporate partnership opportunities beyond event sponsorships
- Develop strategic alliances with corporate leaders, local officials, and community partners
- Manage and grow the Corporate Volunteer Program with ongoing recognition initiatives
- Support major gift cultivation activities as directed
Leadership & Team Development (5%)
- Develop and lead the Emerging Professionals Board and related engagement opportunities
- Recruit, train, and support board members and volunteers for event committees
- Provide expertise for organizational events including volunteer recognition and marketing campaigns
- Collaborate with Development Team and Marketing Consultant to ensure consistent branding and messaging
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, event management, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in special event planning and management
- 3+ years of experience in fundraising event coordination
- 3+ years of nonprofit experience, particularly in event management or development (preferred)
- Demonstrated success in fundraising and revenue generation through events
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with donor database management (DonorPerfect preferred)
- QuickBooks experience a plus
- Social media and digital communication platforms
- Event management software experience preferred

Requirements
- Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
- Act 33/34 Clearances required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for events
- Ability to articulate organizational mission with clarity and enthusiasm
- Physical ability to manage on-site event coordination and setup

Working Conditions
This full-time, hybrid role offers flexibility, combining remote work with regular time at The Woodlands and in the field. Local travel for donor meetings and event sites is required (anticipated approximately 25%), along with regular evening and weekend events throughout the year. Event season requires increased hours and weekend availability.
