Overview

A leading, high-growth consulting platform is looking to hire an experienced Associate Director to support the expansion of its Financial Services practice in Saudi Arabia.

This is a senior, client-facing role combining technical accounting advisory, stakeholder leadership, and business development, working with major banking and financial services clients across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead accounting advisory engagements across banking, insurance, and investment clients
• Provide technical expertise on IFRS standards (including IFRS 9, 17, 7, 10, 16) and regulatory reporting
• Advise on complex financial transactions, reporting challenges, and transformation programmes
• Build and manage senior stakeholder relationships within Financial Services
• Drive business development activity, including proposals, pitches, and client acquisition
• Oversee multiple engagements, ensuring quality delivery and efficient execution
• Collaborate with global teams to deliver integrated, tech-enabled solutions
• Mentor and develop junior team members

Candidate Profile

• 10–14 years’ experience in accounting advisory, audit, or financial reporting
• Strong Financial Services exposure (banking clients essential)
• Background in a Big 4 or leading consulting firm
• Deep knowledge of IFRS and regulatory frameworks
• Proven business development and client ownership experience
• Existing network within Saudi Arabia
• Professional qualification (CA / ACCA / CPA or equivalent)
• Arabic is advantageous
• Saudi National preferred
