Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Associate Endodontist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of endodontic procedures, patient care, and dental technology, contributing to our mission of providing exceptional dental services. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment utilizing advanced tools and techniques, including Epic, Eaglesoft, and Dentrix. The Associate Endodontist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating complex root canal cases while maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety.

Responsibilities

  • Perform root canal therapy and other endodontic procedures with precision and care.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, to develop effective treatment plans.
  • Utilize dental imaging technology to diagnose conditions accurately and plan treatments effectively.
  • Maintain detailed medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with general dentists, pediatric dentists, oral surgeons, and prosthodontists to coordinate patient care.
  • Apply aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
  • Educate patients on treatment options, post-procedure care, and oral health maintenance.
  • Manage dental fabrication processes related to endodontic restorations when necessary.
  • Stay current with advancements in endodontics, infection control protocols, and dental terminology through continuous education.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state dental license with specialization in Endodontics.
  • Proven experience in endodontic procedures, including root canal therapy, dental extractions, and infection control practices.
  • Proficiency with dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix; experience with medical documentation systems is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical imaging interpretation, and medical/medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
  • Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach toward pediatric dentistry and general patient needs.
  • Ability to perform four-handed dentistry efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices for maintaining medical records securely.
