Job Purpose

This role is responsible for assisting in developing maintenance schedules, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Key Functional Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating and executing maintenance plans, including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities
  • Evaluate maintenance needs based on equipment performance, usage data, and production schedules
  • Assist in creating and coordinating the maintenance calendar to minimize production interruptions to ensure timely maintenance completion
  • Coordinate with production management to align maintenance schedules with operational requirements
  • Support in managing the lifecycle of work orders from creation to closure, ensuring that all necessary information is captured and tracked
  • Prioritize work orders based on urgency, impact on production, and resource availability
  • Assess the need for external resources or contractors for specialized maintenance work
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment performance metrics
  • Analyze data to identify trends, areas for efficiency improvement, and ways to reduce costs
  • Prepare and present maintenance performance reports to management, highlighting key metrics, achievements, and areas for improvement
  • Communicate with engineering, production, and other relevant departments to ensure alignment on maintenance activities
  • Coordinate with maintenance engineers and technicians to support their activities and enhance teamwork within the maintenance department
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to implement initiatives that improve maintenance processes and overall plant performance
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements
  • Promote a culture of safety by actively participating in safety audits and training sessions

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent
