Congratulations recent bar passers, we are seeking a dedicated, self-starter and knowledgeable Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in various areas of law, including but not limited to civil litigation, contracts law, and family law. This role requires excellent negotiation and writing skills, as well as a commitment to providing exceptional legal services to our clients. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for managing cases, conducting legal research, attending court hearings and drafting legal documents while collaborating with senior attorneys to achieve favorable outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload across multiple practice areas including civil litigation, contracts and business law, landlord-tenant law, family law, criminal law, personal injury law, and general legal issues.
- Conduct thorough legal research utilizing tools such as LexisNexis to support case strategies.
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts with precision and attention to detail.
- Engage in negotiations on behalf of clients to reach amicable settlements or agreements.
- Prepare for and participate in litigation proceedings as necessary.
- Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with all legal procedures and deadlines.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored legal advice.
- Assist in the development of case strategies alongside senior attorneys.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Alabama bar.
- Strong knowledge of various areas of law including but not limited to civil litigation, contracts and business law, landlord-tenant law, family law, criminal law, personal injury law, and general legal issues.
- Proven experience in legal research and writing; familiarity with LexisNexis is preferred.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in legal drafting and documentation.
- Prior experience in a law office setting is advantageous; legal administrative experience is a plus however, we are seeking a recent graduate.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $77,274.84 per year
