Job Description:Summary:
Immaculata University invites applications for a full-time associate faculty member with a primary role as an assistant nursing lab manager in the Division of Nursing within the College of Nursing and Health Professions (CNHP). The successful candidate shall have an earned a Master of Science in Nursing and have an RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of PA. A qualified candidate should have sufficient experience in the healthcare setting, and a strong desire to teach and mentor future healthcare professionals. Candidates, interested in working with a team to implement innovative educational strategies to a diverse student population, are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities include lab preparation for skills and simulation labs, advising nursing students, assistant lab manager and course faculty and teaching, if applicable. Additional responsibilities with inventory, invoice review and supervising open lab times may also be involved, depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of lab spaces for nursing skills practice and simulations by setting up and taking down equipment, mannequins, and medical supplies;

Restock lab supplies and maintain inventory;

Assist in all retention efforts for all nursing students;

Advise students in the areas of program requirements;

Develop and maintain simulation schedules in coordination with lab manager, course faculty and Division Chair.

Collaborate closely with lab manager, course coordinators, clinical instructors, and faculty to align lab/simulation/clinical content with didactic teaching.

Ensure adherence to best practices and industry standards

Maintain simulation inventory, manage equipment purchases, and coordinate preventive maintenance and technology updates.

Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and risk management policies within labs and simulation spaces.

Increase awareness among students of the various resources available on campus to ensure academic and personal success and to direct them appropriately;

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Division Chair and CNHP Dean.

Job Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)*

1-3 years of experience in higher education.

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience with retrieving, interpreting, and utilizing data, reports or credentials.

Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience with labs, nursing labs and/or simulation labs is preferred.

Experience with teaching didactic, clinical, and lab courses.

Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) or willingness to obtain certification is preferred.
