Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate General Dentist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive dental care, ensuring exceptional patient experiences and maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence. Duties
- Perform a wide range of general dentistry procedures including dental examinations, restorations, crowns, bridges, and prosthodontics
- Conduct oral surgery procedures such as dental extractions and root canal therapy with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques
- Utilize dental imaging and radiography to diagnose conditions accurately while maintaining infection control protocols
- Assess patient needs through comprehensive examinations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide pediatric dentistry services, including behavior management and age-appropriate care
- Collaborate with dental team members to ensure efficient clinic operations using software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar systems
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and dental terminology standards
- Educate patients on oral health practices, treatment options, and post-treatment care to promote optimal outcomes
- Stay current with advancements in dentistry through ongoing professional development and training
Skills
- Proficiency in using dental practice management software including Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques
- Experience in pediatric dentistry, endodontics (including root canal therapy), prosthodontics, oral surgery (including extractions), and dental fabrication
- Ability to perform four-handed dentistry efficiently for improved patient comfort and workflow
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs compassionately and effectively
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations regarding medical records and patient confidentiality
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques relevant to dental diagnostics
- Prior experience working in a dental office or clinic setting is highly preferred
