Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive dental examinations, including patient assessment and medical/dental history review, to develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Deliver a wide range of dental services such as general dentistry procedures, dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery with precision and care.
  • Utilize advanced dental technology and imaging tools to diagnose conditions accurately while maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques.
  • Execute procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during treatments.
  • Manage medical documentation meticulously, ensuring all procedures are recorded in compliance with HIPAA regulations and accurately reflected in medical records.
  • Educate patients on oral health maintenance, preventive care, and treatment options using clear dental terminology tailored to their understanding.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless patient flow, optimal infection control practices, and adherence to all safety protocols.
  • Stay current with industry best practices by participating in ongoing education related to pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and other specialties as needed.
  • Support the clinic’s mission by fostering a positive environment that promotes patient satisfaction and team cohesion.

Skills

  • Proven experience in general dentistry with proficiency in dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery.
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy, and infection control protocols.
  • Skilled in using dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and billing purposes.
  • Ability to perform pediatric dentistry procedures confidently when required; experience working with pediatric patients is a plus.
  • Excellent patient care skills with an emphasis on compassionate communication and patient education.
  • Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and the ability to interpret results accurately for diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Demonstrated competence in medical records management while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced dental clinic environment with strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques necessary for infection prevention during all clinical procedures.
