Associate Interior Designer

A1000xBetter is a quickly growing interior design firm looking to hire an Associate Designer to assist with design projects. Most projects are residential in nature and we are looking for an individual with the appropriate education and experience to join our team. This position reports to a Designer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creates product proposals and procurement of items
• Verify material selection, FF&E, pricing and availability
• Create digital and material design boards
• Manages internal team project management systems, tasks, and deadlines
• Manages client binders and exit packages
• Able to produce furniture layouts and floor plans skillfully
• Block out elevations from drawings with accuracy
• Produce plumbing, lighting, electrical, switching, and reflected ceiling plans
• Thorough and accurate at red line pick-ups
• Clouds and notes revisions on drawing/specs modifications
• Produce door, hardware, plumbing, lighting, finish schedules
• Knows CAD standards well and applies them
• Assists Creative Director and COO with social media, brand collaborations, scheduling and other tasks
• Other duties may be assigned in accordance with company needs

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Two-three years experience working for design or architecture firms
• Bachelor’s degree in interior design or similar program
• Proficient in Auto-CAD
• Experience and comfort working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Flexible attitude and ability to problem-solve easily on or off-site
• Organized and able to plan ahead and anticipate needs
• Must be able to maintain good client, vendor, and consultant relationships
• Highly organized, with attention to detail, and strong ability to multitask
• Excellent verbal/communication skills, high comfortability interacting with vendors, tradespeople, and clients
• Enthusiastic, motivated and positive
• During working hours, access to a reliable vehicle and cell phone is required. Must have a valid Drivers’ License and be able to drive frequently around the Los Angeles area.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working in Studio Designer
• Experience in brand collaborations and/or social media a plus
• Previous experience producing construction documents and/or millwork drawings
• Experience in the following programs is preferred but not required:

SALARY: $68,700/annually

POSITION: Full-time with holiday, vacation, and healthcare (medical, dental, vision) benefits

SCHEDULE: Monday – Thursday, 8:30am - 6pm; Fridays 9am - 1pm

LOCATION: In office full time in Pasadena, CA
