Job description

This position is for an Associate Knitwear Designer who will join the direcTEX team assigned to service a major national retail customer, primarily on their private label RTW and Kids brands.

This designer’s primary responsibilities will include:

· Support RTW and Kids designers through trend research, CAD sketching, and seasonal presentation development

· Contribute to design development needs for each assigned brand

· Must have knitwear development knowledge using yarns and stitches to create the right design intention

· Must be proficient in Adobe Illustrator CAD sketching

· Strong creative graphic skills for developing artwork, pattern motifs, and digital presentation layouts

· Flexibility to travel

· Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills

· AI fluent (understand AI produce using command and fashion terminology)

· Detail oriented

While all candidates with apparel design experience will be considered, knowledge of and experience in knitwear design is preferred.

Candidates should be proficient in:

· Adobe Illustrator

· Adobe Photoshop

· Adobe InDesign

A familiarity with Microsoft Office and Procreate is a plus.

Bachelors Degree in Fashion Design or related field strongly preferred.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
