Associate Machine Operator (Onsite: Duncan, LA)

The Associate Machine Operator working under close supervision, sets up, adjusts, and operates a variety of machine tools which may include numerical control/computerized numeric control lathes, mills, drills, computerized numerical control/numerical control and/or manual machines.

• Pay Rate: Up to $21.00/hour, depending on experience.
• Assignment Length: 3-month with a high possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.
• Shift Details: 6:00 am - 4:30 pm| Monday - Thursday | Friday/Saturday |Flexible Overtime

Responsibilities:

• May be required to read blueprints, perform varying levels of shop mathematics associated with machining operations, and perform inspection procedures to verify work.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Skills typically acquired through 1-2 years related machining experience.
• Skilled in the operation of both Mills and Lathes.
• Experienced in reading and interpreting blueprints with a strong command of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Expert in using high-precision tools to maintain tight tolerances.
• Focused on accuracy and quality control throughout the manufacturing process.
• Machinery/tools used: Mills (Niigata, G&L Boring Mill, Trevisan, DMG Mori) Lathes (Okuma, DMG Mori, Mazak)
