Role Summary -
We are seeking a dynamic Chartered Accountant with strong customs expertise to join our advisory practice as an Assistant Manager. The role involves delivering strategic customs advisory, compliance oversight, and litigation support, while partnering closely with clients on trade structuring and regulatory matters. The ideal candidate will combine technical depth with strong drafting, analytical, and client-facing capabilities.
Key Roles & Responsibilities -

Oversee end-to-end import and export compliance, including review of Bills of Entry and Shipping Bills

Advise clients on classification, valuation, and determination of duty liability

Ensure compliance under the Customs Act, 1962, Customs Tariff Act, and allied regulations
-
Assist in refund claims, duty drawback, RoDTEP, RoSCTL and other export incentive schemes
-
Support compliance and advisory under SEZ, EOU, EPCG and Advance Authorisation schemes
-
Provide advisory on customs structuring and supply chain optimization
-
Evaluate applicability of exemption notifications and concessional duty benefits
-
Advise on Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and Rules of Origin

Assist in matters relating to Anti-Dumping, Safeguard and Countervailing Duties

Conduct compliance diagnostics and risk assessments
-
Draft responses to Show Cause Notices (SCNs) and departmental communications
-
Support representation before Commissioner (Appeals), CESTAT and other appellate forums
-
Assist clients during audits, investigations and assessments
-
Prepare technical notes and legal submissions for dispute matters

Independently manage client engagements and timelines
-
Lead technical discussions and provide practical advisory solutions
-
Contribute to proposal drafting and business development initiatives

Conduct internal knowledge-sharing sessions and client training programs
Technical Skills -
- Strong working knowledge of the Customs Act, 1962 and Customs Tariff Act
-
Sound understanding of Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) and related notifications
-
Experience in customs classification, valuation and duty determination
-
Exposure to audits, investigations and departmental interactions
-
Ability to draft technical submissions, including responses to Show Cause Notices
-
Proficiency in MS Excel and documentation review
