Harris Group is seeking an Associate Mechanical Engineer to join our Washington region in our Lynnwood, WA office. This is an exciting opportunity for an entry-level Engineer to learn and grow! The Role

The Associate Mechanical Engineer position provides opportunities to problem-solve and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria on varied and diverse projects. The ideal candidate will have a background in Mechanical Engineering and a passion to develop in the Mechanical discipline. The Associate Mechanical Engineer will work primarily with Revit and AutoCAD software on projects within the aerospace, industrial manufacturing, chemical/process, energy, and renewable energy sectors. Additional projects may include work on projects within life sciences, air and seaports, commercial development, and other business sectors.

The Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical resource on complex designs and advance engineering theories, concepts, principles, and processes.
• Perform mechanical design with Revit and AutoCAD, working with other members of the mechanical staff, and coordinate with other disciplines on specific projects.
• Coordinate design with vendor supplied equipment.

The Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 0 - 5 years of relevant experience.

• Working knowledge of mechanical engineering techniques commonly used in industrial capital projects.
• Ability to identify, interpret and apply relevant codes and standards to engineering designs.
• Ability and willingness to travel to an off-site location and/or accept client site assignments when required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic.
• EIT certification a plus.
• Ability to use a computer and computer software programs, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

The Benefits

• Salary Range: $65,000-$90,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
