The CMS Imaging, Field Service Engineer, installs, services and provides preventative maintenance on medical imaging equipment.

Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining customer satisfaction for billed, warranty, and contract service.
Travel to and from customer locations throughout Southeast.
Responsible for maintaining professional appearance, and attitude to ensure customer satisfaction for all service and installation issues
Responsible for evaluating and completing all service calls assigned.
Upon completion of service repair, onsite closure of required paperwork, including any regulatory, quality and satisfactory completion of dispatch or service incident report is required, including customer acknowledgment with signature attached.
Completion of service follow-up with customer within 48 hours of completed service call to ensure customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
If required, assist in researching repair part source, part number, and provide all information to the Customer Support Representative (CSR)/Service Dispatcher for order processing.
Responsible for assigning shipping priority and delivery destination for repair parts.
Verify with CSR/Dispatcher that repair parts have been ordered and shipped for delivery.
Install and service of equipment, which includes working with high voltage such as 208v to 480v 3F AC power.
Maintain proper use of personal radiation monitoring equipment.
Responsible for complying with all OSHA and DHEC Radiation Safety regulations.
Responsible for completing all paper work necessary including, Service Report, FDA 2579, CMS QC Report, Overtime request form, leave request form, and Expense Report.
Essential Functions
Complete physical installation of X-Ray and Imaging equipment.
Participate in the transport and the physical assembly of various pieces of X-Ray/Imaging equipment.
Accurately complete the FDA required Report of Assembly of a Diagnostic X-Ray System (form 2579).
Safely operate rigging equipment and loading handling equipment.
Responsible for following CMS Imaging “Policies and Procedures” as outlined as well as all service protocols and processes.
Perform and accurately document radiation calibration on X-Ray equipment utilizing Installation and PM Document Procedures per FDA & CMS Quality Report requirements.
Participate in Training schools, Equipment installations, Pre-installation site prep/planning, Preventative Maintenance Inspections, and any other service function required.
Provides entry-level support to CMS activities, as directed by the Sr. FSE(s) or Service Manager.
Responsible for assisting in the SELLING of Customer Service Contracts.
Responsible for supporting all CMS Imaging sales efforts.
When required, provide on-site service while clinical applications are present.
Core Competencies
Entry-Level FSE. Has a background in or acquired up to 5 years of practical electronics servicing or combination of education and hands-on experience.
Direct hire from a 2-year Associates program in electronics technology, 4-year BS in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Armed Forces, or electronic specialty program or industry trade school specializing in Radiological Equipment Service.
Manufacturer training in medical imaging equipment.
An approved X-Ray or Medical Imaging technical program of study.
