About Our Opportunity
We are seeking an Associate Packaging Designer to work in the Philadelphia Corporate office. The Associate Packaging Designer designs generic and licensed packaging for Unique and private label products. This position is responsible for using correct legal information, country of origin, UPC’s, warnings and translations and also checks incoming proofs for all packaging produced.
Responsibilities

Present innovative and trend-relevant concepts for packaging refreshes and new product launches.

Design and develop structural and graphic packaging solutions, including sizing and layout for generic and licensed packaging across branded and private label products.

Create labels for plates, napkins and cups.

Develop blister card layouts and arrangements, ensuring functionality, visual balance, and merchandising effectiveness, with manager guidance as needed.

Design ensemble packaging for licensed and themed/seasonal products.

Design and provide artwork for CDUs (Counter Display Units) and PDQs (Pallet Display Quantities).

Create and refine die lines for new packaging concepts, ensuring accuracy, manufacturability, and compliance with production standards.

Ensure that proper legal lines, country of origin, UPC’s are on all packages.

Include correct warning information, age grading, size, weight and translations.

Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications

Requires Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to proof, present ideas, and communicate recommendations effectively.

Effective collaboration and communication skills across internal teams and external vendors/suppliers.

Ability to calculate correct sizes, proportions, and color values for packaging applications.

Knowledge of four-color process and spot color printing for offset and flexographic presses.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).

High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, or a related field preferred.

2–4 years of experience in packaging design within consumer goods, retail, or private label environments preferred.

Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
