Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of general dentistry procedures.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review and dental examinations utilizing medical imaging techniques. .
• Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Collaborate with the dental team using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and dental terminology standards.
• Educate patients on oral health practices, treatment options, and preventive care tailored to pediatric dentistry when applicable.
• Utilize practice management software such as Epic, Dentrix Ascend systems for scheduling, documentation, and billing processes.
• Stay current with advancements in pediatric dentistry to provide innovative care solutions.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols related to medical imaging, infection control, and patient confidentiality.

Skills

• Proficiency in dental office experience and familiarity with leading practice management software (Dentrix Ascend).
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and dental fabrication techniques.
• Expertise in performing dental procedures such as root canal therapy, dental extractions, prosthodontics restorations, endodontics treatments, and pediatric dentistry services.
• Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and communicate treatment plans clearly.
• Ability to implement infection control measures diligently while maintaining aseptic technique standards.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations for safeguarding medical records and ensuring patient privacy.
• Experience working within a fast-paced dental clinic environment with a focus on quality care delivery.
• Strong understanding of medical imaging technology used in diagnosis and treatment planning.
