Job Summary:

The Associate, Pricing Analysis will assist and support the Senior Pricing Team Leads in the core function of the valuation of Commercial Servicing Contracts (“CSCs”). This role is ideal for a candidate with strong technical and analytical skills who is eager to learn the unique aspects of commercial real estate and CSC valuation. The prospective candidate will have growth potential, with opportunities to expand into advanced valuation, financial modeling, and transaction analysis as experience develops. This role will also liaison with several groups in Client Services and Loan Servicing Administration.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with large datasets to prepare, clean, and validate input files used in CSC valuation models.
  • Support senior team leads in analyzing loan-level data, pricing assumption evaluation, and cash flow projections related to commercial mortgage servicing transactions. This involves parsing multiple data files, normalizing loan-level data into standardized inputs, and running stress scenarios.
  • Develop and maintain tools in Excel, Access, and VBA/Macros to streamline data processing and improve operational efficiency.
  • Assist in preparing summary reports, exhibits, and presentation material for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with deal managers, servicing operations, and finance teams to ensure accuracy and consistency of valuation parameters.
  • Conduct periodic quality control checks for deal transactions awarded to validate accuracy of investor information in data input files.
  • Strive to build an understanding of commercial real estate loan structures, servicing practices, and the drivers of CSC value.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field are acceptable.
  • 1+ years of experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, functions, and macros)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Access and the ability to design basic queries for large data sets.
  • Familiarity with VBA/Macros or other automation tools is preferred, but not a requirement.
  • High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with large, complex data files.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborating with multiple teams.
  • An Interest in commercial real estate and willingness to develop expertise in CSC valuation.
  • Familiarity with financial modeling concepts (Discount Cash Flow, IRR, and sensitivity analysis).
  • Eagerness to grow into a role with increasing responsibility, including valuation analysis and presentation to senior management.
