Position Overview

Aksia is seeking an Associate to join our Middle East Team, who would be responsible for developing and maintaining ongoing relationships with large, institutional investors, bringing together the resources of the firm for the benefit of each client. The associate would also be responsible for conducting research with a focus on private markets funds in the GCC region.

This position can be based anywhere within UAE (DIFC and mainland Abu Dhabi. Does not include ADGM) and would involve an initial four-month training period in Aksia’s London office.

Responsibilities

  • Collecting, organizing and tracking prospective client information
  • Helping with client meeting preparation, proposals and pacing analysis, strategic plans, for existing and prospective clients, including presentations and other ad-hoc projects
  • Continually developing knowledge on alternative investment strategies and opportunities, to help clients meet their specific objectives
  • Sourcing, screening, and analyzing investment opportunities across private equity, private credit, hedge fund and real assets opportunities, which would include qualitative research and financial statement analysis
  • Liaising with primary fund asset class teams to assist with the evaluation of underlying exposures
  • Open to attend industry events in the region to network

Qualifications:

  • Verbal and written fluency in Arabic and English
  • 2-4 years of experience in or related to Private Equity, Private Credit, Hedge Funds and/or Real Assets, with a willingness to work across multiple asset classes
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business or another related field preferred
  • Strong Excel, and analysis skills
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities across time zones with limited oversight
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to think analytically and critically
  • Positive attitude, team player, and strong work ethic
  • Experience with local investment community desired but not required
