General Summary:
The Associate Product Manager, in partnership with cross functional team (Merchandising, Design, Technical Design, etc.) managing the product development and production process for the Nautica brand. The Associate Product Manager proactively seeks opportunities to elevate the product, achieve the financial goals of the category, and enhance operational efficiency.
Position Responsibilities:- Develop, source and place programs on a seasonal basis, emphasizing quality and maintaining business plans
- Regularly meet with cross functional team throughout the line building process – maintain awareness of overall assortment and key items.
- Communicate daily with vendors, providing product feedback, tracking deliverables and negotiating costing.
- Attend design reviews, weekly fit sessions, and fabric meetings to ensure accurate sampling and development of product.
- Proactively find ways to improve production efficiency, shorten lead times and streamline processes.
- Communicate and enforce all Nautica brand production, quality, and delivery requirements with all suppliers.
Position Requirements:- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Production/Product Development
- Prior experience independently managing product categories
- Clear and thorough understanding of the product development and product life cycle
- Excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills
- Strong retail math understanding and ability to negotiate costing and pricing with vendors to achieve target margins
- Proficiency in MS Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel
- Experience in DESL and Garpac/Spec 60 preferred.
- Ability to manage priorities and shift between tasks as needed
- Travel may be required, based on business needs.
- Adhere to regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration. Job duties may be performed effectively using the hybrid work program designated by the company.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor as the company retains the right to change duties to this position.
- Must have authorization to work in the United States

- Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours per day

- Ability to clearly and accurately communicate and exchange information verbally, in writing, or through other means in person, telephonically, or through virtual communication methods
- Ability to reach at or below shoulder level
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs (sometimes required to lift/transport showroom sample parcels)
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to position offered and work experience.
