Associate Professional (AP)

About Us

We are a Level III therapeutic residential program providing trauma‑informed care to youth who need structure, stability, and consistent support. We are seeking a dependable Associate Professional (AP) to help lead daily operations, support staff, and ensure treatment plans are implemented correctly.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the home
• Support and guide paraprofessional staff
• Participate in treatment team and service planning meetings
• Assist with crisis intervention and de‑escalation
• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with DHHS and MCO standards
• Communicate youth progress to the QP and clinical team
• Provide shift coverage as needed to support staffing and maintain safety
• Serve as lead staff during assigned shifts

Qualifications (Must Meet ONE of the Following)

• Master’s degree in a human services field (less than 1 year MH/DD/SA experience)
• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field (less than 2 years MH/DD/SA experience)
• Bachelor’s degree in any field (less than 4 years MH/DD/SA experience)
• Licensed RN in NC (less than 4 years MH/DD/SA experience)

All APs work under QP supervision until experience requirements are met.

• Valid NC driver’s license
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screening
• CPR/First Aid, NCI/CPI, and Medication Administration (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work in a trauma‑informed environment

Schedule

• Full‑time
• May include evenings, weekends, and coverage as needed to maintain staffing and safety
