Job Summary
The Associate Professor / Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, conducting impactful research, guiding students, and contributing to academic leadership and institutional development. The role involves curriculum development, research supervision, industry collaboration, and active participation in departmental and university activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching & Academic Duties
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
- Develop, update, and deliver course content in alignment with curriculum and accreditation standards.
- Employ innovative teaching methodologies and modern educational tools.
- Evaluate student performance through examinations, assignments, and project assessments.
- Mentor and advise undergraduate and postgraduate students on academic and career matters.
Research & Scholarly Activities
- Conduct independent and collaborative research in core and emerging areas of ECE.
- Publish research papers in reputed peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
- Supervise PhD, M.Tech/M.E., and B.Tech projects and research scholars.
- Secure funded research projects from government, industry, or international agencies.
- Contribute to patents, technology transfer, and consultancy activities where applicable.
Institutional & Administrative Responsibilities
- Participate in curriculum design, academic planning, and quality assurance activities.
- Serve on departmental, faculty, and university-level committees.
- Contribute to accreditation processes (NBA, NAAC, ABET, etc.).
- Support departmental administration and academic governance.
- Organize workshops, seminars, FDPs, conferences, and outreach programs.
Industry & Community Engagement
- Foster collaborations with industry, research organizations, and academic institutions.
- Encourage industry-oriented projects, internships, and skill development initiatives.
- Engage in professional bodies such as IEEE, IETE, IEI, etc.
Area of Specialization (Preferred)
- VLSI Design / Embedded Systems
Qualifications
For Associate Professor
- PhD in Electronics and Communication Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Master’s degree (M.Tech/M.E.) in ECE with a strong academic record.
- Minimum 8 years of teaching/research/industry experience, including 2 years post-PhD (as per regulatory norms).
- Publications in reputed journals and conferences.
For Professor
- PhD in Electronics and Communication Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Master’s degree (M.Tech/M.E.) in ECE with an excellent academic record.
- Minimum 10–15 years of teaching/research/industry experience, including significant post-PhD experience.
- Strong research profile with high-quality publications, funded projects, and PhD supervision.
- Proven academic leadership and administrative experience (preferred).
Skills & Competencies
- Strong subject knowledge and research aptitude.

- Ability to mentor students and junior faculty.
- Leadership, teamwork, and academic integrity.
- Familiarity with outcome-based education (OBE) and accreditation frameworks.
