Job Description

Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Automation Testing Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. As an Automation Testing Engineer, you will collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to create robust automated testing frameworks. Your role will involve automating test cases, integrating them into the CI/CD pipeline, and enhancing the overall efficiency of the software testing process.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, Develop, and Maintain Automated Test Scripts: Use tools like Selenium, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit, and Java to design and develop efficient automated test cases for web applications.
  • Cross-Browser and Cross-Platform Testing: Execute and maintain automated tests on multiple browsers and real devices using BrowserStack, ensuring consistent user experiences across environments.
  • Collaborate with Development and QA Teams: Work closely with developers to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline (using tools like Jenkins), ensuring seamless integration of automated testing throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Test Execution and Result Analysis:Run automated test cases, identify defects, and provide actionable feedback to development teams based on detailed analysis of test results.
  • Automation Framework Development: Build and maintain modular, reusable, and maintainable automation frameworks integrated with Playwright or Selenium.
  • Continuous Improvement: Research and implement new automation tools, techniques, and best practices to enhance testing efficiency and quality.
  • Code Reviews and Testability: Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality code and provide input on testability, automation strategies, and process improvements.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Create clear and concise documentation for test plans, cases, and results. Provide regular status updates and reports to stakeholders.
  • Defect Tracking and Resolution:Report defects, track issues, and collaborate with the development team to resolve them promptly.


Requirements

  • Degree: BE, B.Tech, MCA, MSc IT.
  • 6 months to 2 years of experience in Automation Testing or similar roles, with hands-on experience in developing and executing automated test scripts using tools like Selenium and TestNG.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
  • Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, or similar automation frameworks.
  • Strong working knowledge of Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, TestNG, or JUnit.
  • Familiarity with BrowserStack or similar platforms for real-device and cross-browser testing.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, and integration testing.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab.
  • Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code for automation frameworks and test scripts.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in performance testing with tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Experience using Playwright for modern web automation and end-to-end testing.
  • Familiarity with BDD/TDD methodologies and tools like Cucumber.
  • Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman or RestAssured.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and exposure to DevOps practices.
