Associate Sales - Optical

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail sales and a passion for providing exceptional service in a healthcare setting. This role involves assisting customers with their needs, promoting products, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Knowledge of medical terminology and experience in optometry will be highly valued.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with inquiries regarding products and services.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations based on customer needs, focusing on ophthalmic products.
• Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor, ensuring all merchandise is well-displayed & cleaned.
• Process transactions accurately using EMR systems and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Assist in managing inventory levels, including restocking shelves nightly and conducting regular inventory checks monthly.
• Educate customers about product features, benefits, and proper usage, utilizing knowledge lenses, eyeglass frames and lens features.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Handle medical records with confidentiality, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques where applicable.

Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

• Previous retail sales experience is preferred; experience in optical or senior care settings is a plus.
• Familiarity with medical coding, billing, vital signs, and laboratory procedures is preferred.
• Knowledge of retail math principles to assist in inventory management and sales reporting.
• Proficiency in using EMR systems such as Eyefinity Practice Management for efficient patient record management.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology related to optometry and general healthcare practices. We are looking for individuals who are eager to learn, grow, and contribute positively to our team while providing outstanding service to our patients.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
