Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated Associate Software Engineer (Ruby on Rails) to join our growing team. In this role, you will work closely with senior engineers to build, maintain, and scale robust web applications using Ruby on Rails. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to deepen their backend expertise while working on real-world, production-grade systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of Ruby on Rails applications
• Implement RESTful APIs, background jobs, and database-driven features
• Collaborate with frontend, mobile, and DevOps teams to deliver complete solutions
• Write clean, readable, and maintainable Ruby code following Rails best practices
• Perform testing, debugging, and optimization to ensure performance and reliability
• Participate in code reviews and actively contribute to improving code quality
• Learn and apply secure coding practices and scalable architecture patterns

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Working knowledge of Ruby on Rails and MVC architecture
• Understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ActiveRecord
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails through internships, academic projects, or personal projects
• Basic knowledge of background processing (Sidekiq, Active Job)
• Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and third-party integrations
• Exposure to frontend technologies (React, Vue, or basic HTML/CSS)
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies
• Interest in performance optimization and scalable systems
