Associate, Strategic Finance

The current Initial Group platform has roots in Hollywood management (on-screen and literary), digital representation / production, and music management.

Position Overview: As the Associate, Strategic Finance you will play a vital role in supporting the organization's strategic planning and operational efficiency. You will leverage your analytical skills and business acumen to provide valuable insights and contribute to high-impact projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leadership (CEO, COO, VP of Finance, Director of Corporate Development & Strategic Operations) and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment with a growing portfolio. The role reports to the Director of Corporate Development and Strategic Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Finance:

  • Working with cross-functional teams at the Company level to analyze key current KPIs, pipeline for organic M&A / acqui-hires, with a particular focus on the Initial Digital business unit
  • Contributing to the budgeting and forecasting processes, leveraging strong Excel modeling skills
  • Collaborating on board reporting, including monthly reviews and board materials
  • Integrating FP&A processes and systems for current and future business units

Strategic Operations:

  • Assisting with other operational projects, including the implementation of a new revenue bookings system

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of investment banking or private equity experience with an interest in media
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work with a lean team
  • Advanced Excel skills; proficiency in financial modeling and data / KPI analysis
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams

Location
This role is a full-time in-person position in Initial Group's New York, NY Headquarters.


Compensation
Base salary range: $110K-130K
