Associate Teacher (SY 25-26)

Position Summary

We are recruiting an Associate Teacher for the 2025-26 school year at a partner school in NY. Associate Teachers co-teach in early grades (K-1), support instruction and classroom management, and develop teaching skills while working closely with a Lead Teacher.

Responsibilities

• Participate in professional development and planning sessions
• Prepare and internalize lesson plans for core content
• Co-teach and progressively take on instructional responsibilities
• Facilitate classroom activities and small group tutoring
• Grade assessments and analyze student data
• Attend meetings, planning, and community events

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Passion for liberal arts education and strong academic background
• Commitment to teaching in underserved communities
• Excellent communication, collaboration, organization, and responsiveness to feedback

Compensation

• Salary: $59,000
• Other benefits provided by the school employer
