Associate Therapist : AMFT, ACSW - IN PERSON

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Associate Therapist to join our mental health and behavioral health team. The ideal candidate will provide evidence-based therapeutic services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and more. The Associate Therapist will support clients through individual and group counseling sessions, crisis intervention, case management, and clinical documentation, contributing to improved patient outcomes in outpatient and inpatient settings. Experience with telehealth platforms and familiarity with medical coding (ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT) are highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations using appropriate medical terminology and ICD coding.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with client needs and clinical best practices.
  • Provide individual, group, family, or couples therapy utilizing modalities such as CBT, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, or behavioral therapy.
  • Engage in crisis management and crisis intervention to support clients experiencing acute mental health issues or trauma.
  • Document all clinical encounters accurately within electronic medical records while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, educators, and support staff to coordinate care plans.
  • Participate in clinical research projects or data collection efforts aimed at improving therapeutic outcomes.
  • Offer specialized support for populations such as children with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder, geriatrics, or individuals dealing with PTSD or addiction issues.
  • Maintain ongoing professional development through training in new therapeutic techniques and updates on medical terminology related to mental health diagnoses.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field required; licensure preferred but not mandatory for entry-level roles.
  • Experience with psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), or other evidence-based practices.
  • Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems and CPT coding for documentation purposes.
  • Prior experience working in outpatient clinics, inpatient settings, or telehealth platforms is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of crisis management strategies and behavior management techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including children with special needs and individuals with disabilities or chronic conditions.
  • Strong communication skills for patient assessment and case management activities.

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
