Associate, Venture Capital

Crescent Ventures, the venture capital arm of Crescent Enterprises, is seeking a motivated and entrepreneurial Venture Capital Associate to join our team. CE-Ventures invests in high-growth startups across the US and European markets, with a strong focus on technology and SaaS.

As an Associate, you will play a key role in sourcing, evaluating, and supporting investments in global startups that are scaling disruptive technologies. Key Responsibilities

Research & Deal Sourcing

• Identify emerging trends, business models, and technologies in SaaS and broader tech ecosystems across US and European markets.
• Build relationships with founders, investors, and accelerators in the global startup community.
• Maintain and update the deal pipeline with active opportunities.
• Prepare clear, high-quality research and presentations for the investment team.

Investment Execution

• Screen opportunities against CE-Ventures’ investment criteria.
• Build financial models and perform valuation analysis.
• Support commercial and financial due diligence, including market assessments, competitor benchmarking, and growth analysis.
• Draft investment papers and recommendations for senior leadership.

Portfolio Support

• Monitor portfolio company performance and prepare regular updates and valuations.
• Analyse operational and financial results, highlighting key insights.
• Assist with follow-on funding rounds and potential exit opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, or Business from a top-tier university.
• 2–4 years’ experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or consulting, ideally with exposure to SaaS and tech sectors.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly.
• Enthusiasm for startups, technology, and working with founders.
• MBA or CFA (at least Level 1) is a plus.
