Associate/Social Services Specialist

The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.

Duties

  • Assist clients in navigating services and resources available through the Department of Health and Senior Services.
  • Conduct assessments to determine individual needs and eligibility for programs.
  • Provide support and counseling to clients, helping them to set and achieve personal goals.
  • Collaborate with community organizations to enhance service delivery and client support.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of client interactions and case management activities.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in social services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field.
  • Experience working in public health or social services environments.
  • Knowledge of local community resources and programs.
  • Strong team collaboration skills and a positive attitude.
  • Experience in a related field may substitute degree requirement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to empathize with clients and understand their unique needs.
  • Organizational skills to manage case documentation and follow-up activities.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software for case management.

Pay: $40,416.00 - $43,662.72 per year
