Asst. Manager/ Sr. Purchase Engineer- Indirect Purchase- MALES Only

Role Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Asst. Manager/ Sr. Purchase Engineer to manage procurement of mechanical components and equipment essential for plant maintenance. The ideal candidate will liaise with vendors, ensure timely delivery of quality materials, and support the maintenance team with reliable sourcing.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors for mechanical items such as pumps, valves, motors, gearboxes, bearings, and fabrication materials
• Raise purchase orders and follow up on delivery schedules to ensure timely availability of maintenance spares
• Coordinate with the maintenance and engineering teams to understand technical specifications and urgency of requirements
• Maintain vendor database, track performance, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
• Handle documentation related to quotations, purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices
• Monitor inventory levels and suggest procurement strategies to avoid downtime
• Support cost optimization initiatives through alternate sourcing and rate benchmarking

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 7 to 10 years of experience in mechanical and electrical procurement.
• Strong understanding of mechanical components and plant maintenance needs
• Good negotiation and vendor management skills
• Familiarity with ERP systems and MS Excel

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
