Position Overview:

Operate and monitor Clifford grate welding machines and supporting equipment.

Set up machines according to production schedules, specifications, and product dimensions.

Load steel wire, bars, or raw materials into welding equipment.

Adjust machine settings including spacing, welding parameters, feed rates, and alignment.

Inspect finished products for weld integrity, dimensions, spacing, and overall quality.

Perform routine machine maintenance, lubrication, and cleaning.

Troubleshoot minor mechanical or operational issues and report major problems to maintenance personnel.

Read and interpret production orders, blueprints, work instructions, and quality standards.

Maintain accurate production records and downtime reports.
-
Use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and gauges.

Safely operate forklifts, cranes, or material handling equipment as required.

Follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and PPE requirements.

Maintain clean and organized work areas following 5S or housekeeping standards.

Collaborate with supervisors, maintenance, and quality teams to meet production goals.
Other Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

Frequently lift, push, or pull materials up to 50 pounds.

Ability to bend, stoop, climb, and work around moving machinery.

Must be able to work in hot, noisy, and dusty manufacturing environments.

Industrial steel manufacturing environment

Exposure to welding sparks, moving equipment, vibration, and loud noise
-
Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, steel-toeboots, and welding PPE as needed.

Knowledge of automated welding systems.

Understanding of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
-
Basic computer or HMI (Human Machine Interface) experience.

Strong attention to detail and quality control.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or GED preferred.
-
Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
-
Experience with welding machines, wire processing equipment, or steel fabrication equipment is a plus.

Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to read measuring devices and production documents accurately.

Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred.

Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm
