Asst. Zonal Manager - Dispatch (CEMENT)

We Are Assistant Zonal Manager of Cement Dispatch in Chhattisgarh typically involves end-to-end management of logistics and supply chain operations within a specific zone to ensure timely, safe, and cost-efficient dispatch of cement. This is often an on-site, field-based role.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispatch Operations Management: Overseeing all daily cement dispatch activities, which includes planning and supervising loading, tracking deliveries, and resolving dispatch-related issues.
• Logistics Coordination: Coordinating closely with the plant operations, sales, accounts, transporters, and customers to ensure smooth order fulfillment and adherence to schedules.
• Transportation and Fleet Management: Optimizing routes, monitoring the performance of the transport fleet (both road and rail), and managing clinker dispatch.
• Inventory and Documentation: Planning inventory levels, managing dispatch schedules, maintaining accurate dispatch records, and ensuring proper documentation (e.g., related to GST).
• Safety and Compliance: Ensuring all dispatch and transport operations comply with relevant safety and transport regulations.
• Cost Control and Efficiency: Implementing measures for cost control, improving efficiency in the supply chain, and reducing energy losses where applicable.
• Reporting and Analysis: Preparing various Management Information System (MIS) reports and dashboards for daily, weekly, and monthly dispatch data analysis, including sales reports, market updates, and freight analysis for the zone.
• Customer Relationship Management: Handling customer queries or complaints related to dispatch or delivery and coordinating internally for urgent or priority dispatches.

Qualifications

• Education: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Civil/Mechanical Engineering is often preferred. An MBA can be an added advantage.
• Experience: Significant experience (typically 4+ years, often in a supervisory or officer role) in logistics, dispatch, or supply chain management within the cement, steel, or heavy manufacturing industry.
• Skills: Strong skills in sales and marketing, negotiation, communication, team leadership, data analysis, and using ERP systems are essential.
