Job Summary
Performs a variety of tasks in assisting in the school.
What you will do
- Performs a variety of tasks including answering telephones, greeting visitors to the school office, filing and entering information into student-related databases.
- Assists in maintaining attendance records and student files.
- Assists in handling the entering or transferring of students into or from the school.
- Assists in operating office machines.
- Assists in duplicating or preparing instructional materials.
- Monitors students before and/or after school, in the hallways and during lunch periods.
Supervises pupils in the absence of the classroom teacher only in emergency situations with the approval of the principal and only until appropriate arrangements can be made for certificated supervision.
Education Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED Required
Experience Qualifications
Prior work experience around groups of children Preferred
Skills and Abilities
- Proficient in keyboarding skills.
