- Procurement Strategy:
- Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies to procure high-quality raw materials, ingredients, packaging materials, and other supplies required for food production.
- Ensure procurement aligns with production schedules and operational needs.
- Vendor Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable vendors and suppliers for cost-effective and quality goods.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with suppliers to ensure competitive rates.
- Conduct regular vendor assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards and timely delivery.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor stock levels and plan purchases to avoid overstocking or shortages.
- Implement inventory control systems to minimize waste and optimize storage capacity.
- Coordinate with the production and warehouse teams to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all purchased goods meet the company's quality standards and comply with food safety regulations (e.g., FSSAI, ISO, HACCP).
- Collaborate with the quality control team for periodic inspections and sampling of raw materials.
- Cost Optimization:
- Monitor and control procurement budgets to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality.
- Explore new suppliers or alternative materials to reduce costs without compromising product quality.
- Market Research and Trend Analysis:
- Stay updated on market trends, price fluctuations, and new product availability in the food industry.
- Forecast and anticipate potential
