Assurance Analytics Senior Analyst

JOB PURPOSE

To support empowering and facilitating audit operations within the Public Investment Fund (PIF) by leveraging the power of data analytics and data modelling for quality improvement and workflow optimization.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Specialized Accountabilities:

  • Support to establishing data analytics capability (i.e. data analysis, data modelling, data warehousing, ETL and visualization) to support substantive audit testing and continuous and more effective auditing in the medium term.
  • Support management of data analytics platforms to ensure continuity of analytics operations.
  • Support to the advice provision to internal audit and external parties on best practices and methodology on data analytics.
  • Assist with integrated audit data analytics scripts to enhance the quality of the scripts before implementing Continuous Controls Auditing (CCA).
  • Support with building, deploying, and maintaining Continuous Controls Auditing (CCA) scripts on key high-risk audit controls.
  • Support on assigned CCA Deep dive engagements independently delivering high quality and timely fieldwork for the allocated areas and seeking guidance from the Engagement Lead (EL) on more complex areas, as required.
  • Assist with the observation closure validation activities within assigned timeframes.
  • Support with building relationships with stakeholders to understand data needs and provide analytical support, as required.
  • Support on providing analytical support to Internal Audit Division’s on strategic projects and initiatives to enhance the governance and control environment.

Common Accountabilities:

  • Implement operational excellence improvement initiatives and propose improvements on systems, processes, and practices taking into account international leading practices, in order to continuously enhance the organizational effectiveness and business performance.
  • Support the development of policies, systems, processes, procedures, and controls as requested or propose relevant enhancements as needed, ensuring alignment and adherence to any relevant compliance, risk, audit, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s in Information Technology, or any other relevant discipline

Years of Experience: Senior Analyst: 3 years of experience in a relevant field.

Preferred Professional Certificates: Any relevant certification such as Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), IIA Internal Audit Practitioner, Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or Certificate in Data Analytics, etc.
