Salary: $75,000 annually
Schedule: Full-time, 50–60 hours per week
Position Summary:
We are seeking a certified Athletic Trainer to join our Occupational Health team. This role focuses on injury prevention, early intervention, ergonomic assessments, employee wellness, and return-to-work programs within an industrial and occupational setting. The Athletic Trainer will work closely with employees, supervisors, safety personnel, and healthcare providers to promote a safe and healthy workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site injury prevention and early intervention services for employees.
- Conduct musculoskeletal assessments and evaluate workplace injuries.
- Develop and implement injury prevention and wellness programs.
- Perform ergonomic evaluations and recommend workplace modifications.
- Assist with return-to-work and transitional duty programs.
- Educate employees on stretching, body mechanics, injury prevention, and wellness initiatives.
- Document employee encounters and maintain accurate records in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Collaborate with occupational health providers, safety teams, and management to reduce workplace injuries.
- Monitor trends and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in workplace health and safety.
- Respond to workplace injuries and provide first aid within the scope of practice.
- Participate in safety meetings, audits, and health promotion events as needed.
Qualifications Required
- Active certification through the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers.
- Current Athletic Trainer licensure or eligibility to practice in the applicable state.
- Current CPR/AED certification.
- Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field.
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced occupational health environment.
Preferred
- Experience in occupational health, industrial settings, manufacturing, or workplace injury prevention.
- Knowledge of ergonomics and workers' compensation processes.
- Experience with return-to-work programs and employee wellness initiatives.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout a worksite for extended periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in industrial, manufacturing, or warehouse environments.
